Irwell Self Storage is a family run and owned business, situated in a mill built in 1860 by the Rossendale Cotton Spinning & Manufacturing Company Ltd. Now known as Atherton Holme Mill, Bacup Shoe Company (a sister company of Irwell) purchased it in 1928. The Smiths have three facilities with seven hundred units and have been operating for two years.
