Today saw our Storman Training Roadshow take place in our “home town”, Brisbane. In fact, it took place a mere five meters from my office… no suitcase, flights or hotels this time ’round!
I was joined by Susan from Charters Towers Self Storage and Michelle & Tanya from the StorMart group for the ‘Advanced‘ course and we covered some great topics such as using Coupon Codes to create & track marketing campaigns, a look at making your own Custom Designed Reports, Email Merge functions, the Facility Map, using references in Notices as well as uploading the SSAA’s Agreements into Storman.
It’s always good to hear feedback from our users and this session was no exception – especially when it comes to some of the location-specific features that customers request… such as the ability to SMS two phone numbers (owned by the same customer) at the same time. I initially didn’t understand the need for this until Susan explained that many of her storage customers have two mobile phones (and hence, two mobile phone numbers) – due to reception issues in the bush or on mines (where some of her customers work). I’ve since added it as a feature request and we might add it to a future Storman version!
For lunch, we were treated to a delicious hot meal (and a few too many brownies and sweets) from the nearby Raw Space Cafe. Thanks again to Susan, Michelle and Tanya for taking part in the course!
Next week I’m off to Newcastle (I’ve never been before!) for some more Advanced training – this time, with the team from Nelson Bay Self Storage, so stay tuned for another post some time in the not-too-distant future.
