On Wednesday afternoon, I headed down to Melbourne, VIC for the next leg of our Storman Training Roadshow (having recently returned from the Cairns sessions). I arrived in Melbourne at around 3pm and headed to the hotel in the CBD – checked a few [pages of] emails and then prepared for the next few days of training. Dinner consisted of a Japanese meal in the city, followed by a short stroll around. I’m always amazed at how “lively” the Melbourne CBD is at night – very different to Brisbane, which becomes a virtual ghost town once the office workers go home.
Thursday 9th May
The day began with a quick breakfast down in the hotel restaurant area before catching a taxi out to meet the lovely team at Warrigal Rd Self Store for the Storman Advanced Training course. They were joined by Brent from Store and More, who had traveled all the way up from his facilities in the Torquay area (almost a two-hour trip).
After a lovely Subway lunch provided by the team at Warrigal Rd Self Store, we continued with some of the “New in v9” features, and concluded the course in the afternoon.
Friday 10th May
Today began much the same as yesterday – but the starting location was a little different, with a trip out to Moor Room Self Storage in Cheltenham. Dianne gave me a quick tour of the facility before driving us down to Moor Room at Frankston (another 30 minutes south) – what a nice area by the beach! A truly beautiful part of Melbourne – as you’ll see from the photos below.
We had a great training session down at Moor Room in Frankston – there were about 17 of us all up! Lots of information shared and learned before we wrapped up the day in the afternoon. Dianne very kindly took me all the way back into town and, having not been this far south in Victoria before, she decided on a scenic route (as you’ll see from the photos below).
Melbourne has put on some stunning weather over the last few days… a nice change from the previous trip! Thanks to everyone who attended our training sessions in Melbourne – I had a fantastic time training you all, and it was great to put so many faces to names.
Next week I’m off to Sydney for the next leg of our roadshow, followed by Perth a few weeks later. I’ll leave you with a couple of photos from my stay in Melbourne (below). Until next time!
