Last week I headed to Melbourne for the Victorian leg of our StorMan Training Roadshow, where I got to meet some of our lovely customers from Spartan Self Storage as well as Caufield Self Storage for training.

Following the training, I headed over to the wonderful Heide Museum of Modern Art (photos below), which was the venue for the Self Storage Association of Australasia’s regional dinner meeting.

Our guest speaker for the night was Gareth Wee from Workplace Legal – who presented a fantastic talk regarding the importance of having a social media policy – particularly when it comes to any negative comments that your employees may make (about their employer) on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

He also shared a number of very interesting & unusual public cases with the group – one was the famous US Airways tweet, in which an airline staff member responded to a customer complaint (via Twitter – using the company Twitter profile), with a pornographic photo.

Thanks to everyone who took part! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and if you took part!

PS: We might be in your area soon! Check out our upcoming training sessions.
