Storage Works is a seasoned self-storage provider offering high-quality storage solutions across multiple locations. Day-to-day operations are handled by a team of managers spread across their five facilities; Salisbury, Birmingham Marston Green, Birmingham City Centre  and Cardiff. We talk to manager, Matt Willis about how Storman Cloud has changed the way he does business from everyday operations to future proofing. 

The Challenge

Before switching to Storman, Storage Works faced significant operational challenges. They relied on Sage accounting platform for invoicing and debt collection, but this approach fell short in providing vital business metrics and scalability.

Key Issues:

  • Efficiency: One employee was responsible for invoicing and debt collection, requiring data from multiple systems.
  • Visibility: Lack of consolidated metrics hindered informed decision-making.
  • Scalability: The fragmented system made it difficult to scale operations effectively.

The SOLUTION:

In 2017, Storage Works made the switch to Storman and hasn’t looked back since. After trialling another platform—described by Matt as “like using DOS!”—Storman immediately stood out for its accessibility, ease of use, and reliability.

IMplementation:

Chris Corcoran from Storman led the initial setup, ensuring a smooth migration of complex data. According to Matt, the transition was “as seamless as we could have hoped for,” with no disruptions to operations.

Even as Storage Works adopted the latest version, Storman Cloud, the migration process continued to impress. “The move to Storman Cloud was again seamless,” Matt shares, noting how the platform enhances efficiency across all parts of the business.”
