Hello again, Stormanites! Time flies when you’re having fun and just like that, here we are for our last update of 2022. As always, if you’d like to view our full release notes, you can find them via our support portal – go check it out.
Here’s a quick run-down of some of the latest and greatest in Storman Cloud. Read on to learn more!
Storman Cloud users automatically locked out after 14 days.
As part of our data security focus, users that have not logged into Storman Cloud for more than 14 days will be automatically set to inactive. Someone with permission will need to reactivate their user account, or they will need to reset their password to regain access to Storman Cloud.
Updates to the Income Charged Report.
The date from and date to parameters now default to the first and last days of the previous month, and we’ve added the item code as a column to the report. Additionally, the drop-down to select which item code or category has been enhanced; this now shows key stats categories at the top, then individual codes broken down by their item grouping and finally all of your inactive items are at the bottom.
New shortcut links.
As you may or may not know, we have a lot of great shortcut web links in Storman Cloud – these help you take payments, collected updated card details, etc.
We’ve made these much easier to use if you do not have all of the SMS/email templates set up to use them. These will send basic worded emails/texts to your customers with the links as buttons, or you can open these in a new tab on the same device you are using Storman Cloud with.
Under the actions menu of agreements you will now see these:
Storman Move-ins & Gate Broker.
We have fixed an issue some facilities were experiencing regarding online move-ins and first-of-the-month billing. After a new move-in, Storman will pro rata and then the first month as normal, but it will no longer reset the next bill date back to the start of the current year. If you have lockout before movein enabled, online move-ins with a future dated move-in date will no longer be downloaded to Storman Gate Broker straight away. Instead, they will be downloaded on the day of move-in, and a task will be created to let you know.
Storman will automatically create a task letting you know if Gate Broker is not running, instead of just letting you know when you first log in. Additionally, moving out a single unit, from a multiple-unit agreement will no longer tell Gate Broker to move them out of every unit.

- Receipts can no longer be added with a future date banked.
- The key stats category for adding and editing item codes is now required.
- We have removed the send all button, on both the Processing > SMS and Processing > Email screens.
- It is now possible to convert a lead to a reservation, without a unit, even if it has been quoted.
